Seems kind of like a boring topic, I think that's why. Sorry to break it.

Last pet I had though, was an Alaskan Malamute he was called Nanoq it's a name from the Greenlandish language. And before anyone starts educating me on geography, I know Alaskan Malamutes are not from Greenland.

Yay! You also have a Blue Russian cat, it seems!
I don't care if it's a little bit of a boring thread, pets are nice company.

This is my cat, which reminds me... I should take more pictures of her. Especially full body ones:

Cava, what the hell do you think you are doing with my office cat?

Also, don't you know that the yellow haired demon will try and eat the moment you turn your back?

Oh no, I'm meaner. I did catch him stealing the chicken out of my sandwich one time though. Didn't even bother to look guilty. I considered it an investment in the future. I'm fattening him up for the stew pot.

Your pets all look wonderful!
Are there more cat people than dog people on this forum? There aren't enough posts to be sure, but it looks like there's a trend developing.

I made a full body picture of my cat finally!

Well, even if the thread isn't high-brow intellectualism, it's one thing to call someone's mother a whore, or to tell them that their kids are ugly, but you don't insult a guy's dog.

The "next dish" thing did get a laugh from me though.

^Dinner Time!!!

...Or was the not a joke? I found my cat dead under the rose bush in our front yard one time. She'd been in the family for 16 years and had moved across the country with us twice. It looked like she was cleaning herself one last time. I think it's the way she would have wanted to go. She was rather cleanly.

Great. I suggest cutting the back filets and the tender parts around the inner back legs into thin strips, then cooking it lightly in a nice coconut sauce. Perhaps a nice red curry paste will work well. Just make sure you don't over cook it, otherwise it will become tough and chewy.

Serve on a bed of jasmine rise.

^It's a trap! Don't play into Bird's hand...wing...whatever. Dropping emotionally loaded statements with not context into a forum full of INTPs should get one placed in one of the lower rings of hell. We just don't know how to deal. I always imagine The Bird chortling evilly to itself after posts like the one above.

Fløggstad. Norwegian Forest cat. My sister named him after her favourite author. I prefer to call him Old Puss. (He's now nearly 17 years old, and drives my ESTJ mother insane....).

^He looks like an distinguished family member.

It's amazing how long some house cats can live. I had one live for 19 years. What's crazy to me is that he slept in my cradle with me when I cried as an infant and then passed away when I was 16. Some pets really do become family members I guess.

I'm not a crazy pet lover who calls my dog my child/sister and yet when she passed away after I'd slept next to her for 13 years I realized she was the love of my childhood life. My closest friend.

Okay, I'm done being all emotional now.

Distinguished indeed....for a while he demanded Italian canned tuna only......mum got him off this extravagant idea pretty quickly. He was putting on weight, so he had to go on a diet as ordered by the vet. Expensive habit created by weak father.....My father had to drive to the vet an hour away in a terrible snowstorm with terrified, beloved cat glued to the side of his face.

Amusing sight for other drivers on the road

Chico, Spanish for "boy".

My grandfather said he was reminded of another dog named "Chico" and wanted to name him that. I think there was more to it, not sure, but yeah, that's how he got the name.

This is Optimus Prime. I found him one night outside my work laying in a snow bank on the side of the road when he was really little. He was feral but I was able to tame him in a week and hes been a great kitty ever since. (Minus the fact that he caught me off guard and I can't get the dog a originally wanted )
