We could ask it this way: What differentiates an INTP from another INTP with different leanings? We have different belief systems, taken from our environments growing up, so that's not one. Yet... if I was born 'me', the same, yet I grew up elsewhere, would I still have similar belief systems...

Why can I never win?

Are emotions really invalid? We all have them, and are in some ways influenced by them whether we desire to be or not. Racism, sexism, and unjustified hate are extreme cases where emotional judgments are allowed to run rampant without any self control from the 'analytical' side of ourselves...

Yup. Lived with ESFJ (aunt) for a few years. Understand her now, but while living with her, as soon as you figure something out, it becomes irrelevant, and the rules are changed.

Also, don't set your alarm to go off too early. I know for me, if I set my alarm too early, the motivation to get up is not able to overpower the comfort of the bed. Try 10 minutes before. Then, you see the time, and bounce out of bed. Also, knowing a warm cup of coffee is waiting helps me.

Actually, to be honest, I have never initiated a conversation like that, but it got the idea across. Usually, I try to mention something about him or her that may be in common, ask them about it, and end up just listening to them talk with the occasional interjection. Of course, I can't do it...
