I can't really answer this as my investigations are extremely short-term. I get on jags and they're intense and I forget to eat, but even if my learnings are interrupted, I rarely find the enthusiasm to pick up where I left off the next day.

I always try to maintain a smile - it's awkward because of all the crap the orthodontist's got in my mouth, but my baseline emotional state is satisfaction & a sort of immediate happiness, usually due to social interaction.

It is really common for intertubes to mirror wikipedia, just to have some content. 95% of the time, Wikipedia is the original source. And it's pretty easy to distinguish the 5%. But yeah it sucks when Wikipedia is not enough but everyone is mirroring them so you can't find anything else.
