if you liked legos as a kid at all (if you didnt than you arent much of an intp, imo.) then you should try out minecraft.net.
im not trying to advertise, just trying to give you the joys i have found.
i seriously played it from 5pm to noon the next day without a break.

I play it occasionally, while listening to music. It's not that great.

really?
but you gotta admit the first time you played it, it put a good spark in you.
i mean, i have created like 3 huge worlds.
the only problem is that once i get done with something.. its like "now what do i do with it" although i havent played it in a while.
i guess i did make it seem really great, but it, imo, is almost perfect for an intp.

Like I said it's not that great, but it's still good. When I play it for too long, a voice in my head objects. "Why are you doing this? You could be learning a language, or working on your novel. Instead you're playing with blocks."
I still play it from time to time. I host my own server when I do, want to build with me?

So me, Cobra and Sniktawekim have started working on our INTP World. Anyone else who wants to join? I took some screenshots of our world, which doesn't have much in it yet. I don't know if Cobra has built anything yet, if he has I didn't find it.

You have a bunch of pieces right in front of you that you can see and work out how they can come together. There is no real planning or intense visualization necessary, it's all just real time improvised hands-on building. It's very SP, homie.
Seriously, just walk up to any random ESTP no matter how old and tell him/her you just bought a bunch of legos and you are looking for someone to play with, they'll be like "FUCK YEAH BRO, I FUCKING LOVE LEGOS!"

when you say "there is no real planning or intense visualization" i greatly disagree with you.
i dont know about you, but i when lego'd as a kid, i built huge things that took days... like a castle that was about 4'x3'x.5' with stuff all inside and everything.. in order for it to look nice, you had to plan well.. (i never followed any instructions.. i just got new stuff for the bricks.. so no instructions laid things out for me.)
intps and sp's could have used the legos in different ways, just because one enjoys them doesnt mean the other wont.

I liked creating aestethically pleasing and historically accurate environments in which my action figures would enact stories. I used anything from legos to wooden blocks to play-doh, and nobody ever had the patience to play with me.

Man, I was hoping to finish tonight! All that extra bulk you see behind him is filler because I'm making a Mario-shaped building. All that will be taken out, and you'll be able to walk through the threshold of his undercarriage.
I call it The Super Church of Latterday Bros. (I might make it the duo themselves with either a Power Flower or Power Star between them; not sure I'm doing that yet).

I don't think it constitutes as a simulation game, just a sandbox game. And of course Dwarf Fortress would win anyway with that tremendous depth, it's just a lot more fun in the long run.
...I think. I never got past the insane learning curve for Dwarf Fortress but it seems awesome.

hehe I have no experience with this sort of thing - but I did manage to burrow a hole into the centre of the earth, and jump out of it. And it's really good fun standing underwater and then jumping up and back into the water.
And I built a tower of toadstools which was quite fun.
I need to get a bit more used to the control functions then I might ask to come and build something with you.
I loved lego and built hugely elaborate structures as a child when the types of pieces were very limited. I also spent hours with Meccano.

I managed to raise the upper limit by 192 blocks, however this resulted in some ugly walls at the edge of the world. I still think it's worth it for being able to build my future epic sky fortress though.
EDIT: I fixed the wall problem by lowering the upper limit and also lowering the bottom limit. You can't build as high now, but still higher than before, and you can also dig deeper.

Regarding looks; Because of the way I look people always presume I am your typical metal head, or more specifically, a guy into norwegian black metal. I started out listening to it when I was 7 years old, but that was a long time ago... and I can't really identify with it anymore, and I don't want people to associate my persona with any kind of music genra or sub culture.. especially not black metal, or really mainstream metal in general. I find that many people into those types of music are far more concerned with image instead of music itself. It is also reflected in their often apparent lack of music understanding, lack of competence on their instruments, and/or inability to be open minded about any other types of music then metal. I am not saying there are no exceptions. My point, if I had any, is that I am considering changing my look based only on the fact that most preconceive me to be something I am not. But I don't think I will. I like black clothes and long hair:) and that's really the only reason why I look this way. Also I am too lazy, or rather, prioritize other things then being too consciously involved in the way I dress up.
Just to clarify, I listen to metal, of course:) but that is just a small branch sticking up from a large, ancient tree that would be music:) I love jazz, classical music....many types...but mostly I love people that try to take what we have a step further, intertwining the jazz and rock realm to create new interesting soundscapes. This is mostly referred to as fusion. So, the ultimate would be a heavier oriented form of fusion. If that makes sense? Alex Argento (http://www.myspace.com/alexargento) is a guy that touches things that I would like to see more musicians do in the future.
Fredrik thordendal's special defects (http://www.myspace.com/fredrikthordendalsspecialdefects) (the guitarist from the swedish band meshuggah's solo project) is also something I really enjoy. Very dark indeed:)
So to settle the age-old argument: which is better? Norwegian or Swedish metal? GO.

Hard to say. Norway got lots of great black metal, second-wave in particular, and also lots of prog/experimental metal like Spiral Architect, Arcturus, In the Woods... etc.
Sweden's fairly diverse and hard to place, but we've got some great depressive metal like Lifelover, Katatonia, etc. Were Silencer Swedish? Can't remember. Oh, and to hell with the Gothenburg scene.

Climbing hundreds of stairs probably turn many people off the "hey, maybe I should check out this tower" idea.I'll have to make the mistake of checking it out before I make the mistake of promising to do the walls! lol
Is the framework the boundary of where the wall should be or is it just scaffolding that I can make the walls around? Cuz the latter would be easier than filling all the blank spots with cubes probably.
I certainly hope they make elevators possible in Beta or further. This is Alpha, so it's not a finished game, I've come to understand.
Judging from the posts on the forum, where would you have placed me then?:) And yes, that came off as very insulting:aufsmaul: ;)Uh oh~! I didn't mean to! I thought most people loved terribly insensitive and stereotypical portrayals of their countrymen in cartoon form. Especially when it's terribly insensitive and stereotypical portrayals of their metal head countrymen! I know I do.
But to answer your question, since it's your face that looks much like my friend's brother more than your hair (he has blonde hair about as long as yours; maybe longer, maybe shorter; it's been a while since I've seen him; but he keeps it in a tight ponytail most of the time), I would have simply placed you in his family (which, incidently, is not in Norway)! lol Which would be serious cool, and I'd be jealous because his last name is Hamburger. Just sayin'.
Regarding looks; Because of the way I look people always presume I am your typical metal head, or more specifically, a guy into norwegian black metal. It's hard to drive yourself away from a stereotype when your look is basically just what it has evolved to without your control (and likewise on the front of music). In fact, it's a rather abstract concept, looks. It's like... You don't want to necessarily look a different way... but you don't want people thinking you're like the next guy who dresses just like you... who is a totally different person and has a completely different personality and musical taste.
It's also unfair, I think, that in a lot of cultures musical taste is so tandem to fashion. I often get mistaken for an American "hipster" or "emo kid" when really I bathe and laugh too often to be accurately described as either one; or to even come close. I put on a plaid shirt, and suddenly people are going, "You hipster types are always wearing plaid." Or I put on a hoodie and people are passing judgment that I am into the All American Rejects and Taking Back Sunday. But truth be told, I wear my hair and clothes quite similar to many of them (I think?) while simultaneously resenting everything they are. The "tight pants" is another thing. I don't squeeze into my pants, but I think since my pants actually fit snugly to my body (which is comfortable to me) people immediately think I'm trying to dress like a skin-tight pants-wearing hipster. I buy jeans from second-hand stores from a bygone era of pants actually fitting people because I'm very tall and lanky and normal pants make me look like I'm swimming. Not to mention the fact that they feel INCREDIBLY heavy on my legs!
Actually, lol, ever since the Jonas Bros. became famous, I've been in Hair Hell. Trimming it doesn't make much change, cutting it short makes me look like I'm 5, and using product in it makes me look like one of those douchebags we were talking about, so HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THIS, PEOPLE? I think I've been so out of touch with my looks for so long that I don't know how to change it while still looking like myself.
But all in all, I think we're just generally what people think we are until they get to know us. Which is cruel, but true nonetheless.
My point, if I had any, is that I am considering changing my look based only on the fact that most preconceive me to be something I am not. But I don't think I will.Good. Don't! It's completely unnecessary, and you wouldn't be doing it for you. Fuck them!
Just to clarify, I listen to metal, of course:)Excellent!
Fredrik thordendal's special defects (http://www.myspace.com/fredrikthordendalsspecialdefects) (the guitarist from the swedish band meshuggah's solo project) is also something I really enjoy. Very dark indeed:)Meshuggah! Speaking of "typical metal heads," doesn't it pain you when you're told by a guy wearing a Disturbed shirt that they love Meshuggah? I have to shake my head; *sigh* live and let live...? *sigh* That's like when a dude wearing a Dave Matthew's Band shirt says, "I can't stand James Taylor!"
(it isn't a cool language at all, yukk. Swedish is a prettier language imo)I'm not sure I've ever even heard Norwegian, let alone seen it typed out. Let me be the judge! :D

You can build elevators using water and sponges, but it's impossible to build them over sea level without the use of an editor. Oh yeah!!! Actually, without even realizing it, I may have already built one!
If the spawn point is the same for all (isn't it?), as soon as you come in, go to your right EDIT: (it's actually about 40 steps forward and about 15-20 to the right) and look for a nearby "well-like" object made from gray stone blocks on a small hill of grass. Jump down into it, and you should land on a flower (this is that secret project I was working on... although my more recent activities in it have probably long since given it away, and it is probably not a secret anymore aside from my telling you about it here). The flower is located in front of a fountain-like display of water and what I was trying to get to look like a waterfall from which the water was coming from (this is that "making lemonade from lemons" I was referring to; that whole area flooded which inspired the waterfall idea!). If you travel up that waterfall, you should be able to see that it goes way back and then zig zags upward again after a short tunnel. You go up, up, up for a long time until you get to another long ass tunnel which leads all the way out to what would be the left admin block wall (from the perspective of the spawn point). It doesn't lead anywhere important yet, so I wouldn't advise following it all the way through. It's the start of an underground system I'm working on that will tour your through a number of great things that are (and will be) on the map! Cheers!

Cobra: If you could choose what kinda first impression your appearance would implant in the majority of people, what would that be? I think we both can agree that it should be one that best represents us on the inside.. but as you pointed out, almost every type of clothing has some kinda dogmas attached to it. Maybe the best would be to dress as anonymous as possible...but then again, you would be perceived as a dull person...or maybe not at all.. not that that would be that bad:)
Regarding the Disturbed question. Hehe, I find it funny how much such things upset you:P anyways, I really don't like band T-shirts at all.. unless it says "meshuggah"XD can you smell the hypocrisy in me? but really, I don't like band T-shirts. Not at all. Seriously. It's official. I'm addicted. This morning I dreamed that each time I was hitting the snooze button on my alarm clock that I was actually deleting a gray block from a tall structure in INTP World.
Also dreamed that "as one of the blocky guys from Minecraft, you can't sleep, but if you try you'll forever be stuck as one" and that I tried, succeeded in sleeping, and was convinced that I had disproven the myth, but when I kept trying to grab the blanket to pull it closer to my chin after hitting the snooze button, I didn't have any fingers to pull the blanket with.
Someone help me. :(
I suppose it's good that VP is currently addicted to Killing Floor so I'm not playing as often as I might be. But still, I'm up to about 2 hours per evening, whether it be in INTP World or someone else's server.
On the bright side, I've been playing it through my lunch breaks at work, so maybe I'll lose some of this extra spare tire I've got.

This time, there was some "trouble in the city" (as people kept phrasing it), and we had to build shelter underground, which was, as you guessed it, made up of Minecraft blocks.
People in my dream were impressed with how deft I was in making underground shelters... So this was obviously a dream.

Why not? Use lava instead of water. By normal gameplay you can take lava to anywhere you like, with quite some effort though. And lava is not so transparent like water. Also because lava do not have a sponge equivalent, the elevator would be somewhat more complicated but still doable.

Cobra

Define doable. With the watervator, you can leave holes in the structure of the shaft so the user can walk out onto the desired floor without out having to bust through anything (the sponges keep the water at bay). I can conceive possibly a lavavator which would have to have iso-chambers that you'd have to manually bust through and then reseal to make sure your rooms don't get flooded with lava, but I think that would be defeating the purpose, I think, of facilitation and ease of access. Doable, nonetheless. Is that what you had in mind?
A question about lava. It travels up?? How would you get it to go up a sky scraper like that? I don't get it.
I'm still racking my brain trying to figure out a cool thing to do with the lava I found while digging out my underground mansion...
After all is said and done, I may also make it a golden mansion. I am not gay. I just would like to appear gay to everyone who comes to my mansion.

@VP: one type of buildable block wil melt into lava if you build it near lava. So essentially you can suck up lava from the underground. It is the block in row 2 on the right, I can't remember the exact position.
@Cobra: something interesting about lava and water is that it do not suffer from Pascal's law of pressure. So...
L=lava; G=glass
L G
L G
L L L L G
L L L L G
L G G G G
L G
... and so on
The lava will not escape through the opening despite the whole column of lava pressure on it. Same go for water.

***DISCLAIMER***WARNING***CAUTION***
Working with high column of lava is dangerous. Beside the fact that they can potentially filled up to the sky from just normal gameplay, they are also hard to remove and will block your vision almost absolutely, so precaution needed to be taken!
When sucking up lava, always surround the would-be lava column BEFORE you start making the column (I learned this after filling the level with lava the 1st time).
Make sure there is no single hold in the column (I realize this after the 2nd time).
Do not raise the lava column too high (3rd time).

Hello, this is my first post here, I tried minecraft and and just wanted to correct something : it is possible to make an elevator using water, actually there is no block that melt and turn into lava, but the blocks that fall (sand and gravel), if placed above water/lava, will exchange places with the fluid. Its also a bit buggy, so sometimes you will have to place several "blocks" of water/lava vertically to get them to behave like a fluid again.
thanks for making me discover the game, i hope i'll be able to meet you in the intp server, if VP wants to invite me :)

Welcome to the forum.
I want to dispute some point here.
Sand do not exchange place with the fluid when it fall in, it merely displace (i.e remove the fluid block altogether). If you want to test this out, just drop a block of sand into the sea: if you are right then the sea level will rise.
You can make elevator using water, but you cannot make it above sea level because water cannot go above sea level.
Gravel do not exchange place with the fluid when it fall in, it also just displace. You can test this by dropping a whole column on gravel on a shallow lava pool: lava would flood the level if you are right. Gravel melt when you build it near lava, but it does not when you build it then after that pour lava at it.
Agree on the bug part.

So let me get something straight here:
Hello, this is my first post here, I tried minecraft and and just wanted to correct something : it is possible to make an elevator using water, actually there is no block that melt and turn into lava, but the blocks that fall (sand and gravel), if placed above water/lava, will exchange places with the fluid. Hello. This is my first post here. I tried Minecraft and just wanted to correct some things said earlier: though there is no block that melts and turns into lava, it is possible to make an elevator above sea level with water using either sand or gravel to raise water levels as they fall and switch places with the water at the bottom. This is sometimes buggy, though, so you might have to have several cubes of water depth for it to rise like real fluid in this way.
Thanks for helping me discover this game. I hope I'll be able to meet you in INTP World, if VP invites me. :)So theoretically, if what Sirian says is true, one could continually raise water or lava up through a tube by dumping sand or gravel into the tube so long as there are several cubes depth of water or lava at the bottom to be raised. Then by deleting the sand or gravel at the bottom once one has reached the desired height, the water or lava would fill it in while not lowering the desired level.
Welcome to the forum.
I want to dispute some point here.

Welcome to the forum. I want to dispute your statements here. Sand does not exchange places with fluid as it sinks, it merely displaces it (i.e. removes the fluid block altogether). If you want to test this claim, drop a block of sand or gravel into the sea; if I am wrong, then the sea level will rise.
You can make an elevator with water, but you cannot make it above sea level (due to the aformentioned mechanical claim).
Much like sand, gravel also does not exchange with fluid cubes as it falls; it, too, displaces them. Test this the same way you'd test the sand in water claim. Gravel melts when you place it in or adjacent to lava, but not when you pour lava onto it.
We are in agreeance on the "buggy" claim. So this contradicts what Sirian was saying, but I'm not sure the counter-argument is convincing enough. I'll have to test Sirian's claim. SEPKA's claiming that dumping a block of sand in the ocean would raise the sea level, but that's not a good analogy because the ocean's a large body of water. Sirian, I think, was just referring to an elevator shaft.
Though I think I have to go with SEPKA on this one. Pretty sure he's right, even if his analogy was straight up absurd. ; P

Cobra : As you have guessed, english is not my native language, actually i'm french. And don't worry, i take no offence :)
SEPKA : Well at first i tried to put every kind of block in lava and none would melt, then i googled it, and i found someone saying that sand/gravel would switch places with the fluid its dropped in. So i ran some tests and i was able to completely flood maps with water and lava. Then i posted it here. The distance does not matter : as long as the the sand/gravel is dropped above a fluid, it will work (well i only used sand but i assume its the same with gravel).
The main difference is that lava is much slower than water. Oh, and expect a lot of lag if you flood a whole map.
Correct me if i'm wrong somewhere.
SEPKA
15th-October-2009, 11:20 PM
I just do some test. Sorry I was wrong, Sirian is correct.:(
Somehow for water I always get bugged and get a lone block of water hover in the air, but lava work normally most of the time. I think that is why I cannot raise the sea level by merely dropping a piece of sand into it.
So now Cobra can construct a watervator anywhere:D
Be careful though, water spread much faster than lava, at least it is less annoying if it does flood.
You can dump a block of of sand into water, then destroy it, the water will not fall back.
But why? Why am I so bad at English???:( I'm living in an English-speaking country!!!

Did you mean that you tried to make a watervator in INTP World, and it didn't work?
And then by "fixed for multiplayer maps" do you mean that the watervator (above sea level) trick only works in a single player map?
Sirian
16th-October-2009, 05:20 PM
Ok i'll elaborate : the sand/water thing = dropping sand (because sand needs to be supported or it falls) above water. When you do that, water switch places with the sand and floods its container. Two blocks of water is enough to flood an entire map. And, as i said, it doesn't work on multiplayer map, only on solo maps. So my guess is that it was removed because of griefers (aka people who enjoy ruining other people's game experience).
So yes, it means that a watevator in INTP world can't be made using this technique, i guess it will require some kind of admin editing instead.
Is my english so bad ?

Yup, the watervator. There was a hole in it somewhere. The thing is, all the previous times I accidentally flooded the world, the server was killed by lag and was unable to save any changes. I thought that would happen again if I flooded the world, which I thought I would be extra careful not to do anyway. But I did flood the world, and, unaware of it, I left the server running as I went off to eat, and this gave the server time to solve its lagging issues and save the map...
As far as I can recall, you, Cobra, are the one who made the most progress in those two days. Anyway for now I've started the server again with the backup. So at least it's up. I am going to finish kantor's watervator but I'll be extra sure to backup rigorously as I do so and will beyond that one watervator institute a no-watervator policy.

So I finished expanding/hollowing out (and making accessable) The Super Church of Latterday Bros. (kind of). The buttons on Mario are eye-level windows on the second floor. His eye is also a lookout point.
My newer ideas for this structure are in development. I was thinking of making a giant star above his head with some depth and hollowing it out to put a bell-like structure inside it and a staircase that leads up to it giving off the impression that you can ring it, but that's a lot of work for something doesn't function... But, then again, all of this stuff doesn't really function per se, so it's not like it would be more a waste of time than the rest of the map! lol
I apologize for not building more on the surface, but I've come to realize that my true calling is in the subterranean INTP World! You may refer to me as the Moleman, if you so desire, however, choose your words wisely when speaking to the Moleman as it just may be the difference between 6" under and dead & a mile deep and dying! FOREVER!!! Mwahahaha!
In all seriousness, I'm addicted to hollowing out my sub-earth mansion, which grows and grows the more I find conveniently placed caverns not in use. I now know what it must have been like to be a young Bruce Wayne hollowing out the Bat Cave. It's really beginning to be something neat. Go check it out sometime. It's getting HUGE. I'm already finding myself adding furnishings here and there (can't resist) because it helps me make suppositions as to what a room's function is. Last thing I touched was the hot tub I installed in the upper lounge area's new bathroom (currently unfinished). Hot tub will be "heated" by a glassed off layer of lava beneath the water (gonna have to be real careful!).
Question for the wise about lava physics: same as water physics only slower and more permanent, obviously? I want to know before I try anything.
And another question: what did we establish about the fluid tricks in INTP World?
This is what I gathered (let me know, if I'm wrong):
- Raising fluid levels trick only works on a Single Player map?
- Melting gravel with lava doesn't work on a Multi-Player map?
Oh, and snikt! I have deep depth grass, so if you want me to work on getting grass into your lava exhibit, let me know, and I'll be vigilante, when I have time (and extremely careful), in delivering the goods! There is sub-terranean grass a mere 40-60 cubic feet from your area. To be clear (on the idea of being careful), it would entail ripping a crevice into the earth and allowing sunlight to direct the chain-grow operation all the way to your spots within the lava cavern where you just have soil glassed off with trees and such. Afterward, I'd probably allow you to fill in the crevice once the grass had grown in the selected areas. Be advised, you'd have to have sunlight coming down from above.

@Cobra: well, I think lava is like water except slower and cannot be removed by sponge. However you can solidfy lava into rock by throwing water on it. You can also remove lava by building any block into lava to replace it.
As for the trick, melting gravel trick never work: the apparent melting is actually due to gravel fall into lava and raise the lava level. The raising fluid level never work in Multiplayer.
Another things to note about fluid is that they don't suffer Pascal's law of pressure, so you can build a fluid column with opening just like a barometer (btw I also establish that there are no air or air with no weight).
One tip for you: if you want to build a subterra level, hide sponge around the perimeter and the top to avoid potential flood which is quite annoying to clean (unless your subterra level is meant to be filled with water of course).

Edit: k, it turns out grass grows naturally on dirt when under sunlight. There's just one more requirement: the dirt cube also has to be touching a grass cube. The grass cube can be just to its diagonal (so if you have a 3x3 plot, you could stack 1 on top of that plot in the middle, and, as long as 1 cube of that plot has grass, and the 1 stacked has sunlight, it will grow grass), but I recently was a bit shocked when grass grew below a dual stack of grass (so I had 2 stacked, and there was grass on the very top, and there was dirt all around below, and suddenly the dirt below began to grow grass... all had sunlight, of course). So perhaps the radius is similar to the sponge water repelling radius. Not sure, I'll test this.

So, through some downtime from INTP World, I've found that making friends on the public servers has not been a complete waste as previously presumed. I've been given by way of Skype, hacks, which have more than tripled my potential for creative energy and inspiration. I can now fly and speed up my movement to x2 and x5.
Sadly, though, I began immediately repaying him by building a giant mech in his server, not ours. I wasn't thinking straight and went immediately to work on a flash of inspiration.
I'd have come to INTP World immediately if I hadn't been sure that immediately upon arrival I'd have begun working on my underground mansion again like the typical introversive hermit. I've become completely obsessed with my underground mansion and wish for it to end! I want to be done with this sickness so I can begin building great things above the surface, but now my new obsession is this mech which is thankfully coming along quickly. Hopefully, my full potential will be realized sooner than later in INTP World. I really do love our server, but this mansion has been such a huge undertaking that I feel neglectful when I don't continue to build it. It is my Sistine Chapel.
The mech I am building is the LFO mech from Eureka 7, the Nirvash: Type 0. I'll upload images of it later.
In the meantime, here's the image I'm using to replicate the Nirvash. I like it because it leaves little of its anatomy to the imagination portraying multiple angles of the body parts and such. I'm not replicating the stance, only the mech to whom the stance belongs.

I loved lego as a kid. Maybe I'm ISTP.
Also,
A game you will never stop playing... - You mean... The Game?

Could you describe the game a little? Can you play for free?

Basically you mine and place blocks in a block-based world. It's an (as far as I know) randomly generated world. It looks like hills, there are oceans, waterfalls and lava waterfalls as well. I'm not describing it well but it is epic. You use the blocks to craft your own items and materials. The game has its own basic circuitry which has been used to build basic computers.
There are two modes: creative and survival. In creative mode you can fly, there are infinite blocks and it doesn't take time to mine them away. In survival mode there are creatures that spawn in the darkness and at night, you have to mine blocks to be able to use them... Survival's generally better unless you're working on a big project in which you don't want to waste time mining. It's incredibly addictive. I'm currently working on my Gringotts project and I've seen a Starship Enterprise.
As for whether it's free, I know a fellow INTP who's downloaded the game for free from somewhere but I myself bought it and it's worth supporting by buying it. It's currently still in beta but will be released as a full game soon, though updates will still occur.
You really should get into it because it's brilliant, but beware because it's extremely addictive.

I dont really get that game, there is no reason for me to build a castle(or something) in that game, so i dont see any point on spending days, weeks or months building something that has no meaning..

Why live? Why die? Why play any video games? Why breath oxygen? Why eat? Why read? Why watch television?
I hope you get my point.

I also play. It is pretty fun, but I cannot help but feel guilty knowing everything else I could be doing...oh well. If you guys still have a server up, shoot me the IP address and I will join. Leave some forest space for me to build a small down down in there. ;)
Oh...and I am fairly new so the use of redstone and piston inventions is still quite an unobtainable concept until I can figure out how exactly that works. Wiki gave some long detailed explanation. Just tell me how to send current through it and how to extend the pistons farther than 1 block...and hide redstone so it cannot be seen. T.T
Oh, and is it a survival map? Minecraft is always so much more fun in survival..creative is just....bleh. I assume you reedited it to have all 128 layers of soil under the world again? :D
