Greatest Hip Hop Albums of All Time

Okay, I dunno how most INTPs feel about hip hop, but there are actually great, intellectual, hip hop albums out there. I'm sure I've missed a few, so if you have any suggestions I'd be much obliged! Some of my favorite albums (in no particular order):

Dr. Dre - Chronic 2001 (the production is flawless, and most of the songs are either hilarious or just plain bad ass, this is my most played rap album by far)

A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders (absolutely clever as fuck, these guys are witty and stylish, this entire album is laid back, bass heavy, and just plain easy to listen to). Anyone who claims to not like hip hop needs to play this album first. It will change your mind.

OutKast - Aquemini (hard to say which OutKast album is my favorite, they're all so good. However, this one is my most played and an absolute joy front to back to listen through. Great beats, great rhymes, so worth your time).

Eminem - Marshall Mathers LP (smart, emotional, awesome). Having a bad day? Put this shit on and enjoy. Probably my favorite Eminem album, and that's not an easy decision by any means.

I just started a Hip Hop graduate lecture this week, and my instructor played something from "the Chronic". I'll have to get the album..

However I do favor more indie/West coast and Bay Area rhymes. Not so much the gangsta rap. But it's been years since I've really heard great hip hop. Ya know I love Del tha Funky Homosapian / Deltron, Gorillaz, mostly whacked out angry rap (Del) or feelgood dance (electronic stuff). It's not always about the lyrics, as the Pleasure Principal.

Ha, good to see someone else listens to Devin The Dude! I love that guy, his only lyrical content is beer, weed, and women.. gotta love it. Oh and to add to the list of classics, I recommend Black Star - Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star. Talib Kweli was actually the first show I've ever went to, and I got to see him front row.. it was incredible.

I'm also glad to see such a topic. I don't listen to hip-hop, but there's a Lithuanian band called G&G Sindikatas. Their album 'Alchemija' is an absolute masterpiece. The lyrics are gorgeous, the music has so much passion... I suggest searching for the video of 'Muzika kuri saugo' on YouTube. They... are... awesome. There should be translations of their stuff, but if you'll need help, just write me and I'll see what I can do.

When I was into hip hop, The Game - The Documentary was always my favorite album. Very solid. Definitely agree with Dr. Dre - Chronic 2001, that was another favorite.

Clipse, "Hell Hath No Fury"....superior lyricism, cold/articulate delivery, dark and angry tone, hard minimalist beats, some what INTPesque I would say.

Check out Malice, as opposed to his brother Pusha-T and many other rappers for that matter he seems to be quite introverted, introspective, articulate and witty. He also seems to maintain a pessimistic detached demeanor in addition to having a monotoned delivery, I would argue he is an INTP rapper.
