How much time do you spend listening to music per day?
I probably spend around 4-5 hours a day listening to music. As an INTP, I usually listen to music that matches my mood, and I'm constantly craving new music. It's almost like I can only feel emotion through music.. so I guess I'm essentially craving new emotions..

I tend to tie my listening to music to certain activities. Be it running on a treadmill or studying math. I agree with you that I need to find songs that match my general mood. Although right now I only have about 200 songs in my library so variation is limited. I would say that I listen to my music 3-4 hours a day but I have not paid too much attention.

I listen to music pretty much any time I'm not sleeping or talking to someone or in class. So probably 7-8 hours a day. Like in the above posts, listening to music is how I process and identify emotions. Since I'm quite confused when it comes to emotions, I listen to music as much as I can. Now I just need to pick up all the instruments I want to play, find a significant other who also plays music on the same level, and I'm pretty much complete.

Er, the above post took the words out of my - (fingers?)
I'm the same, music 24/7, and I usually fall asleep to music as well.

Constantly. Minus time spent in the classroom (and even sometimes then, oh the advantages of long hair) and time spent in social situations that require a response from me. You said it all Ermine.

I used to be able to listen to music while doing other things but not so much anymore (except driving). Nowadays I have to devote my full attention to what I'm listening to.

I agree with IB. There's background music, which I have on most of the time. But I can barely pay attention to it, it just carries the mood. To really listen to music, I need to give it absolute concentration, even to the point of shutting out other stimuli. I do this some 2 hours a day.

Well... if I'm at work, I constantly listen to music... somehow I'm not able to work without it. And I listen to music at home a few hours a day, plus the time when I'm walking from point A to point B... so I guess.... it's somewhat like.... 50 hours a week all together.
Music is my natural high:D

I'm listening to music every time I'm on the laptop, even half the time during class when the lecturer isn't talking. (I'm in a diploma course in Games Design and Development and we use our laptops during lessons.) On the train ride to and from school everyday, I'll either be listening to music on my mp3 player, or playing games on my psp. I'll say that I listen to about 10 hours worth of music a day.
Strangely though, I don't play music according to the mood I'm in at that time, unless I'm extremely depressed or something like that...
Does anyone have a habit of playing a really nice song you just heard over and over again for hours on end until you get tired of it?
And I just realised I forgot to recharge my mp3 player. Thanks for the reminder. xD
